Conversion of an existing nursing home into a residential home including 38 new up-to-date en-suite bathrooms. The overall objective was to ensure that the new bathrooms fulfilled current legislative requirements with regard to carers’ working conditions while, at the same time, catering for the needs of changing residents with varying degrees of dependency.
Effect
The nursing home was successfully renovated and each of the 38 housing units now fulfils current legislative requirements. The bathrooms are adjustable to meet different user requirements and provide optimal working conditions for carers.
