Aalborg Hospital

Geriatric ward 113 at the Aalborg hospital is focusing on long-term patients, typically elderly people suffering from 4-6 different illnesses such as general medical diseases, lung infections and endochrinological disorders. The ward needed a bathroom which was adequately dimensioned and capable of accommodating a wide variety of very heavy patients requiring specialized and intensive care.

Effect

The hospital wanted to preserve the many small, existing bathrooms. The challenge was thus to locate a suitable room and to decide on a planning that would satisfy the needs of patients requiring many different kinds of care.
