Pressalit was established in 1954. Today, Pressalit Group A/S is one of the leading European manufacturers of toilet seats and specialised bathroom solutions for people with disabilities.

The group includes two divisions. Pressalit - including the SaniScan product brand- and Pressalit Care. They are both pursuing individual objectives and are doing business with individual segments, but are sharing a living, fertile culture, based upon a common set of values:

In 2006 the 486 employees of Pressalit Group created a turnover of 553.5 mio DKK, primarily in the European markets. Export share is 78% (2007).
