What does Pressalit Group buy?

Pressalit Group’s main purchasing areas – i.e. material groups, account for total group purchases of at least DKK 5 million per year, and include:

Urea

We use urea powder for the production of our toilet seats and other products. The powder’s main ingredients are urea, formaldehyde and cellulose.

Stainless steel 

We use stainless steel (non acid-resistant) for our production of hinges and fittings to quality standard 4301.

Aluminium

Aluminium is primarily used in Pressalit Care products for people with functional impairment. Aluminium has more or less the same properties as stainless steel, but weighs only a third.

Plastic components

We use a range of plastic components made to our own designs and specifications.

Packaging

We use specific product packaging and traditional transport packaging.

Technical components 

Examples of special technical components include cushion pads for the soft-close function built into our toilet seats and two-component plastic for ultrasonic welding.

Bathroom accessories

We purchase a variety of pre-fabricated accessories in exclusive materials (e.g. stainless steel and teak) – plus basic products in chromed materials.

Wooden seats

Wooden seats are not a core product at the Ry factory, but are bought-in from contracted vendors. We purchase seats in pre-shaped plywood and in solid woods, such as teak, bamboo, oak, beech and birch.

Transport 

We have transport contracts for national and international deliveries, preferring to work with a few large transport vendors.
